My favourite Bird which until this year I had never seen leave alone photographed! I have read many books and studied thier habitat and behaviour and spoken to many people in order to discover how it is best to see these birds.

All these photographs are taken in the New Forest.

Please note that it is illegal to take photographs or be near a kingfisher nest site without a schedule 1 license as they are protected birds
